Many would have studied outside Tamil Nadu like me, who missed to learn their mother tongue in Schooling. I learned my self, I would like to try my best to teach you the basic.

Week 1:-

Please write this 10 times in your book by seeing,  and try to write without seeing. Hopefully you are clear with the soundings.

I suggest for a week, please write all until you are able to write it without seeing for 5 times. Once you are able to write without seeing, please learn ten words of each vowels where it is used in the word. I have given the audio of 3 words at least for each vowel below. 

உயிர் எழுத்துக்கள் (Uyir Ezhuthukkal or Tamil Vowels)

Week 2:-

Now that you have known all the vowels, try to write three words of each vowel every day for a week.  You can take  7 papers and keep it aside, and write below words by pronouncing as it is mentioned below. 

Writing helps in storing in your subconscious memory, so if you write it for 7 days as in below I’m sure you will recognise or write those words anytime. This will make you very thorough with the Vowels and can start for the next week of uyir mei ezhuthukal (உயிர் மெய் எழுத்துக்கள்)

Written down simple words to write, if you can pronounce and write for next 7 days as in below in a paper. I’m sure these words will stay in your mind even if you don’t recognise some of the letters.

Week 3:-

mei ezhuthukal (மெய் எழுத்துக்கள் )

By now at least you remember the  vowel sounds of Uyir Ezhuthukkal (உயிர் எழுத்துக்கள்) if not the words that you written, now we can learn the final 18 letters that is mei ezhuthukal. If you can concentrate and take extra effort in this week, I’m sure you should be confident enough of writing or reading some of the words in Tamil. 

There are 18 letters of mei ezhuthukal, I am not sure if there has to be a order to say however I would use an irregular order to learn which will help in remembering the letters easily.
